Lucy Liu is a voice actress and director. Also, she is an actress. She's attractive and skilled actress that has inspired numerous Asian actors to succeed in Hollywood. Following a string of appearances in television shows that were popular and movies, she gained fame after being cast as a character in Ally McBeal legal comedy where she portrayed Ling Woo. After her success, she landed important roles on the shows Shanghai Noon (1998) and Charlie's Angels (2000). The film Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave a stunning performance as Japanese criminal O-Ren Ishii. At the same time she was a leading lady in flops of the box office like Rise: Blood Hunter were also prominent. In animated films like Kung Fu Panda, Tinker Bell and many others, she voiced prominent characters. Mia Mason from Cashmere Mafia was an unimportant role which did not have any effect. Southland is a critically-acclaimed series of police dramas that featured Liu in recurring parts, helped to establish her role as an actress. Liu is careful when choosing roles in order to prevent being stereotyped in an industry where competition is fierce.
