Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe comes from an ethnically diverse family in South London in England. The mother of her child is English and her father Nigerian. She grew up in a south London community estate, where she attended The Brit School at age fourteen. She attended an academy called the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London where she gained an BA in acting. At school, she was a part-time actor in a variety of stage productions including King Henry V's princess Katherine or Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe's acting career started with Storm Damage. In the following years, she appeared on Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film appearance was in Woody Allen's 2007 film Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. In the following film, she was the lead in Elisha in an episode of the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In the same time, she starred as Ollie for six episodes in the series Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. In 2008, she got Bambi's character on ITV2 Drama The Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Secret Diary of a Call Girl. The actress was on both series 2 and 3. Madekwe played the lead role for How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others, a comedy made in the year 2008. She was also in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path written composed by David Watson.
Madekwe made her official US debut in the 2009 drama The Beautiful Life, which was only broadcast on The CW before being cancelled. In February, she was cast 2011 as Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. The departure of Madekwe from the show was confirmed in May 2013. After two years as the main character she made a guest performance in the opening episode of season 3. The actress portrayed Tituba in the TV show Salem between 2014 and 2016. From June to July 2012, Madekwe got married to her long-time partner, actor Iddo Goldberg. Both have appeared in Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They have also appeared as a couple in Salem.

Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress was raised in a large family in Hamilton, Ontario. Her parents were Roy and Patty and four older brothers, Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram. The four brothers of Ashley, all very physically active, were all playing hockey in the winter months and played baseball in the summer, so that she grew up playing in parks and arenas. Ashley had never been able to actually walk. She danced. At 2 and a 1/2 when she was a little older, she was a part of Baby Ballet. Ashley developed a passion for dancing after she started Baby Ballet. When she was in high school, Ashley danced competitively in the top divisions in tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, acrobatics, lyrical, musical theatre and hip-hop. Top soloists at major competitions such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance which were all given to Ashley.
