Harry Edward Styles is an English singer, songwriter, and musician. He was a member of One Direction. He was born in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, England on February 1 1994, and is the child of Des Styles and Anne Cox. Harry Styles, a former student at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive Schools Holmes Chapel Comprehensive schools was the founder of a band called White Eskimo together with three of his fellow students. They were the winners of the Battle of Bands in 2009 with their amazing performances. He always showed an interest in music but was enthused to be a lawyer or physical therapy. As a worker at the city's baker Harry Styles could afford to provide for his family. In the year 2010, Harry Styles presented audition for The X Factor where he sang Is not She Lovely by Stevie Wonder and was selected. This meant that his band needed to be separated. Nicole Scherzinger, the jury member of The X Factor suggested Harry Styles join a band called One Direction with Liam Payne Zayn Mlik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne. Simon Cowell sponsored the young group in 2010. The group sang the Kelly Clarkson song My Life Would Be Sucky without You as well as Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart during the contest, which allowed them to become the frontrunners to win the contest. However, they finished third, a place behind Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles' group didn't take home the prize, however Cowell did pay $2 million in cash to One Direction for them to make a deal with Syco.
