Amber Benson (born April 14, 1970) is a famous American singer, actress also a writer, director and actor. Her most well-known work is her character Tara Maclay on the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer and she has also produced and performed in her own film Chance as well as Lovers Liars & Lunatics. She also appeared in the film Kiss the Bride. Benson was born on January 8, 1977 in Birmingham Alabama, daughter of Diane Benson and Edward Benson psychiatrist. Danielle is her younger sister and is an artist. Benson, whose father is Jewish and her mother a Southern Baptist was raised in an Alabama Reform synagogue.
