Kari Samantha Wuhrer (born on April 28, 1967) was an American actress and singer. Her career began when she was an teen and is most well famous for her character of Maggie Beckett in the television series Sliders as well as her role as the Sheriff Samantha Parker in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks.Wuhrer was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, the daughter of Karin (nee Noble), an accountant for payroll, as well as German American Andrew Wuhrer, an officer in the police force and a car salesman. She has three siblings and brothers. As a child She sang in nightclubs and slipped out to sing. Following her studies in acting at the Wooster School, at the age of 13, she was a drama student at the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts at Marymount Manhattan College and Columbia University. She also studied in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts under the renowned Uta Hagen. Born in Brookfield Connecticut on 28 April her birthplace, she was raised there. Her father is a German American policeman as well as an auto salesman. Kari's children are three. In her teens, she sang at nightclubs while slipping out for performances. Kari was 13 years old when she started acting classes at the Wooster School. Then, Kari enrolled at Tisch School of the Arts in New York University. Columbia University. Marymount Manhattan College. Kari started acting when she was aged a teenager. Her first television break was in 1987's MTV's Remote Control.
