
American actor Thomas William Selleck. His most famous role was that of Thomas Magnum, a private investigator in Magnum, P.I. (1980-1988) in which the actor received five Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series with the winner being announced in 1985. Since 2010 Selleck has appeared in the role of New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan in the series Blue Bloods. Since 2005, he's played the character of Jesse Stone, a troubled police chief from small-town New York City. He has also played in nine TV films inspired by Robert B. Parker novels. Selleck has also been seen in films as Peter Mitchell, a bachelor architect as seen in Three Men and a Baby (1987) and Three Men and a Little Lady (90). In addition, he has appeared in more than 50 other films and TV parts from the time of Magnum, P.I., including the films Quigley Down Under, Mr. Lassiter and baseball.
